The relationship between InGen Technologies, Inc. and WRG began in September 2020 when it was determined that WRG was in dire need of an Sitefinity version upgrade. At the time, WRG’s website was running Sitefinity 3.17 and InGen was charged with upgrading it to the current version of Sitefinity – Sitefinity 13.

Because this was such a big jump in versions, the upgrade wasn’t just a migration – InGen did a clean installation of Sitefinity on WRG’s servers and then migrated the data from the website over to the new install. Even though this was the largest leap InGen had ever worked on (to date), the project team was efficient, and it was completed by the end of the year. In addition to the upgrade, InGen members of the UI/UX team suggested a ‘facelift’ (not a complete redesign, but an updated look and feel) to WRG’s website might be beneficial to them. WRG was ecstatic at the opportunity to create a new look and feel for their agents and customers. Even though it wasn’t part of the original project, the facelift solved a lot of problems that WRG didn’t even realize they had. InGen’s developers moved the site onto a modern web framework and updated the look and feel of the site. WRG employees had been experiencing a lot of lag and the upgrade/facelift provided them with the ability to work more efficiently.
Even though the partnership between InGen and WRG is relatively new, it’s already very strong. Our two teams have worked together collaboratively to not only find solutions for WRG’s pain points, but to also improve the way they work together internally.
After the original upgrade/facelift project was completed, WRG engaged InGen on a special intranet initiative that involves additional modernizations of their site. This is still a current project (as of Feb 2021) and InGen is eager to continue developing the partnership with WRG that is as rich as the history it has built over the past 150+ years.
